From the founder’s heart; I wish to thank you for letting us share this program with you. Though I am the founder of CHUM Therapeutic Riding, it has always been clear that it is a God driven, faith built, and grace guided journey we are on here. Our CHUM family would like to welcome you to this ‘site’ and encourage you to visit our program site. We serve individuals from as young as 14 months through senior citizens using Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies from therapeutic and sport riding to the use of hippotherapy (hippos is Greek for horse) in treatment sessions. We are an integrated program where individuals with and without disabilities share and develop their love for horses. In this process we see ‘life lessons’ occurring in the barn, victories over challenges, hope over despair, and relationships building in trust and love. We are blessed with a heated indoor arena, an outdoor arena on warm days, and some trails when the weather permits. As an eclectic program we offer therapeutic riding, 4H & competition for all ages, OT services with hippotherapy, multidisciplinary research with 5 different colleges and universities, internships, and more. We are a NARHA Premier Accredited Center and strive to serve the communities, many up to two hours away, with equine activities.
